Five years after renewing the standard equipment, cubicles and walkways in the cubicle house constructed in 1976, the mastic asphalt was very worn out and there were many claw problems, especially sole injuries and load problems.

The question arose: renew the mastic asphalt or do something different? After extensive consultation we tried out KURA P and between 2007 and 2010 we covered all walkways with it.

Mr. Stöckel, manager at Milchgut Triebtal:

“After about 5 years on mastic asphalt we had many claw problems, especially sole injuries and load problems. After extensive consultation we tried out KURA P and progressively covered all walkways.

In my opinion the advantages are that the dunging passages can be cleaned better and are drier. In addition, the walkways are softer and more comfortable for cow claws.

From August 2010 to April 2011 we adapted the entire herd to robotic milking. We covered the new areas with KURA P, the crossover alleys with pediKURA® P. We observe that the cows slip much less often.

Important is the pain-free, comfortable and safe walking! Otherwise we would need to push the cows more.”
